Luciana's Stellar Bedroom

Creating bedrooms inspired by American Girl characters is one of my favorite hobbies. I love mixing different pieces from around the dollhouse to make a totally new room! Today, I want to share with you the most recent hangout I've been working on.

Welcome to Luciana's Stellar Bedroom! ✨

Originally I planned to use Danielle for this shoot. She's Truly Me #66, almost identical to the 2018 Girl of the Year, Luciana Vega. However, on January 5th, a future astronaut (who just happens to be 18 inches tall) was welcomed into my DollBaker24's doll family! We all love Luciana. She has become quite popular in the Doll Days household!

Isn't that purple highlight out of this world? 💜 It complements Luciana's dress nicely!

Luci is already starting to feel at home in her new room. 💫 A true STEM girl in her natural habitat!

One of my favorite gifts I received for my birthday this year is Luciana's Maker Station! There are so many fun elements to this piece-- from the robotic arm to the doll sized safety goggles.

I think Luci loves her workbench just as much as I do! 😉

It was smart of American Girl to incorporate Mega Bloks into this set! Such a clever idea.🌟

Luciana's faithful companion is Orion, her robotic dog. In Luciana, by Erin Teagan, Orion belongs to camp counselor Mallory. It's never mentioned if Luciana actually takes Orion home, but I like to imagine that upon returning to Virginia from Space Camp, she built her own robotic pet inspired by Mallory's dog. 😊

"Come, Orion! Good boy!"

Orion's eyes flash several different colors, and he also makes 20 different sounds. I'd say that's very impressive for an AG dog! 😍

When reading Luciana's books, I felt very inspired by her inventive and creative personality. So, while I may not be able to make amazing robots like Luci, I did sew some fun bedding to go with the bedroom!

My Mom and I went on a search for space-themed fabric at Hobby Lobby. There were so many options, but we finally settled on purple and starry blue fabric.

The back side is lined with silver metallic material, and silver ribbon was added for a sparkly touch. The color scheme reminds me of Luciana's pajamas.

I love a good challenge, and creating my own pattern for Luciana's bedding was definitely a learning experience! I must admit though, I'm in love with the final result. 😍 After adjusting a few things to the pattern, I hope to list a few bedding sets in my Etsy shop soon-- maybe even this weekend! 🙂

Luciana invited Danielle over to her new place, and my, don't these two look like twin sisters? 👭 I'm amazed at how similar their features are! They're definitely the cutest little astronauts around.
